Dutch side Excelsior are close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea to take youngster Danilo Pantic on loan for the season. The 19-year-old had a similar spell with Vitesse as part of Chelsea’s agreement with the club.
Voetbal International have claimed Excelsior expect soon to announce the signing of Pantic after holding talks with Chelsea. Excelsior are hoping to bolster their attacking options for next season, and see the Serbian as an ideal player to come and play in the No.10 role.
Pantic joined Chelsea in 2015 from Partizan Belgrade, but has yet to make an appearance for the West London side. Pantic was also loaned out to Vitesse for the second half of last season, in which he played 8 games.
Chelsea have in the past few seasons been criticised for the number of youngsters they send out on loan each season, and in particular the arrangement they have with Vitesse.
A host of young players have been sent to the Dutch side in recent seasons, but not many have actually gone on to break into the Chelsea senior side.
