The even has brought scouts from around the world. Some of the confirmed clubs at the tournament are Chelsea, Manchester United, Benfica, Sporting Club de Portugal, Palmeiras, Fluminense, Real Betis and of course, Real Murcia.

Murcia in particular have plans in place to scout and target African talent. They want them to either develop and make the leap to professional football or become valuable assets. Their youth system already has several African players making waves.

Some have already made the step up to Murcia’s youth teams in recent years. Or they have gained minutes in the first team.

Now they find themselves rubbing shoulders with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the battle for the next stars coming out of Ghana.

The Spanish outlet makes no mention of any young players that the clubs in attendance could have been there to watch. That is perhaps something we will learn in the coming weeks and months.

The tournament has been busy promoting the scouts, though. In fact, they even posted on Instagram to confirm the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United had been in attendance.

It seems, like the rest of the clubs, they want to get ahead of any potential competition for the game’s potential future stars.
