Failing to make an appearance for Getafe last season, Alberto Redondo never quite managed to make it to the La Liga side’s first team, and after the lack of faith showed in him, the 22-year-old didn’t renew his deal and is now a free agent.
However, according to Foot Mercato in France, the left-back won’t take long to find himself a new club, as both Charlton Athletic and Queens Park Rangers in the Championship are interested in his services.
Getafe tried, in vain, to keep him around, and it seems the defender is now set on trying something new, with both the Addicks and Mark Warburton’s side starting discussions with the player.
The website claim his future should be sorted by the end of next week, suggesting things are going rather well.
Saint-Etienne and Lens in France both knocked on his door, but Foot Mercato believe it’s in England that his career will continue, and it will be a choice between Charlton and QPR.
