Celtic youngster Tobi Oluwayemi and Matthew Anderson have revealed they still dream of a future in Scotland, after being loaned out to Austrian side Admira Wacker this season.

The pair have been speaking to Kronen Zeitung about life in Austria this season after being shipped out by Brendan Rodgers’ side to get experience away from Celtic Park.

Oluwayemi and Anderson are both a part of Celtic’s B squad and yet to make their debuts in the first team under Brendan Rodgers.

Thus, the decision was made to send the pair out on loan to gain experience and they’ve both been sent to Admira Wacker to do so.

It’s meant a major change in environment for the pair, with Anderson having been with Celtic since he was a youngster and worked his way up the youth ranks and Oluwayemi having been there since joining from Tottenham in July 2019.

The move has so far been a more profitable one for Anderson, who has 14 appearances to date and 71% of the minutes played in the league, while Oluwayemi has only two appearances and 12% of the minutes played because of injuries.

But both are happy with the experience, even if they are still dreaming about a future life at Celtic.

“The fact that you drive in the right lane was a problem for me at the beginning. I only knew Admira from the manager game on the computer. But I really like it here now,” insisted Oluwayemi.

“The partnership between the two clubs helped me a lot. I have been able to develop well here and have been involved in many missions so far,” added Anderson.

“The club is huge in Scotland. We are both big fans and go to every match when we are at home. Whether you’re a football fan or not, everyone grows up with Celtic and the Rangers.”
