According to a claim in the Swedish media, Celtic are showing an interest in Hammarby IF midfielder Bazoumana Toure as Brendan Rodgers looks to add to his squad this summer.
The 18-year-old has also been linked with Crystal Palace in recent days and their interest in the player is again reported.
Fotboll Direkt today report Celtic recently sent scouts over to Sweden for the game between Hammarby and Brommapojkarna. It’s claimed Celtic were getting a lowdown on the young midfielder and that they are giving serious consideration to the player.
There are no reports of whether Celtic plan to enter into transfer talks to sign Toure, but they will face competition after reports he’s been followed by other clubs.
A few days ago, we covered reports from the Swedish press which stated Crystal Palace are monitoring the situation around Toure. Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt were also said to be interested and one of the three clubs could come in with an offer this summer.
Toure has made eight league appearances this season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to Hammarby until June 2028.
