Celtic are keen on a move for FC Luzern midfielder Ardon Jashari in the summer as they eye up additions for Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

That’s according to Blick, who say Celtic are ‘above all’ in terms of clubs showing an interest in the 20-year-old defensive midfielder.

They cover the Swiss Super League today ahead of what is likely to be a busy summer window of incomings and outgoings for teams in the country.

For Luzern, the main focus will be on Jashari, who is their captain and also a part of Switzerland’s national team set up.

Both of those factors, as well as his performances for Luzern, mean he is ‘in great demand’ and Celtic are one of the sides showing an interest in him.

They’ve been keen for some time, with a report back in December last year saying Celtic were ready to do battle with Leeds for a potential €6m deal.

It seems their interest has not diminished since then and Blick say Jashari is ‘likely to leave’ Luzern this summer for a sum between €6m and €8m.

Where he ends up is ‘still completely open’ as there are many interested parties, ‘above all’ stand Celtic and Portuguese giants Porto. Serie A clubs Lazio and Atalanta are also in the mix.

Celtic, therefore, may want to move quickly if they want Jashari to end up at Celtic Park this summer, with the competition likely to be fierce for his signature.
