On August 30th, we covered a report from L’Equipe, who claimed Lyon have agreed personal terms with Moussa Dembele, but Celtic have turned down two offers for their player.
The same newspaper in today’s report claim that Bruno Génésio’s have already made ‘several offers’ for the forward, with the last one being a bid of €18m and were ready to make an ‘extra effort’ to secure his services. The situation is said to be ‘stressful’.
Unfortunately for the Ligue 1 outfit, the Bhoys are not interested in allowing their player to leave and the club’s leaders have even refused to negotiate because there’s not enough time left for them to find a replacement for the former Fulham man.
The 22-year-old did not take part in Celtic’s 3-0 win over Suduva and the report claims that was his own decision. Dembele did, however, attend the match, but L’Equipe say he used the opportunity to once again tell the Scottish Premiership club he wants to leave before the window closes tonight.
Those requests haven’t yet helped the footballer, but there’s still some hope an agreement can be found before the deadline, otherwise Dembele will have to stay at Celtic and wait for future transfer windows.
