Two days ago, we covered claims from Italy which stated Celtic have returned for Gustav Isaksen, after failing to sign him last summer. It was also reported Brendan Rodgers’ side need €15m to buy him in the winter market.
La Lazio Siamo Noi, a website dedicating its coverage to Lazio, talks about Celtic when discussing the Serie A side’s plans for January.
Lazio are a step away from signing Bayern Munich’s Arijon Ibrahimović and the report mainly focuses on the 19-year-old attacker.
They add ‘exits are needed’ and the Italian club will ‘speed up’ some of the outgoing operations for fringe players.
Lazio would also let go of starters if they were to receive attractive bids and Isaksen fits into this category as he’s made 25 appearances this season, managing three goals and three assists in the process. Celtic are the only club named as an interested party.
The report explains the Scottish champions like him but haven’t made an offer so far. The deal will be complicated because the Denmark international ‘isn’t convinced about going to Scotland’.
With Lazio open to his sale, Celtic have to convince Isaksen to secure his services in January.
