While it hasn’t been made official yet, Cédric Soares’ transfer to Inter is all but done.
The Southampton right-back travelled to Italy to undergo his medical, which he passed this morning.
As tends to be the case, the event, if you want to call it that, was widely covered by the Italian press, with the Saints defender being filmed entering and then exiting the hospital a few hours later once the tests were done.
On his way out, FCInterNews, who were present, filmed the footballer walking back to his car, at which point, before entering the vehicle, he turned around, gave a thumbs up to the cameras and said “Forza Inter”.

To us, that sounds like everything went well and he’ll most likely already be focused on the task ahead of him, which will be trying to feature in his new club’s squad next Thursday when they take on Lazio in the Coppa Italia.
That’s if he doesn’t make his debut on Sunday against Torino, depending on whether he gets registered in time.
During his time at St Mary’s, the defender made 119 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing 10 assists.
