Swansea City have added themselves to the long list of clubs who are interested in Aleix Vidal from Barcelona. The reports were broken in England a couple of days ago, and the Catalan outlets are now responding to them.
According to Sport, Bob Bradley’s side are still to contact Barcelona or the player’s entourage regarding the transfer.
As they wait for news as to whether or not they can bring him to the Liberty Stadium, Vidal’s future is said to still be unknown. Even though the player has been featuring in the first team and Barcelona claim they have no offers for him, the club are said to be open for talks as the right-back hasn’t been impressing their manager Luis Enrique.
Mundo Deportivo claim the player is still to make his mind up regarding an exit, and should be taking the Christmas holidays to think about it. Clubs from Portugal, Italy and Spain have all contacted Barça to know the conditions of a transfer.
From the stories we’ve been covering lately, it seems that Sunderland are also keen on the player, and could challenge Swansea for the defender’s services.
