There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are showing interest in Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, and have accelerated their efforts to get him ahead of their transfer window closing on September 13th.
Throughout the summer the Super Lig champions have been looking to bring in an experienced central midfielder and they’ve been linked with a number of players from the Premier League.
MilliGazete have reported on Gala’s pursuit of the Manchester United man as they look to bolster their midfield option before the transfer window closes in Turkey. It’s claimed the Istanbul side are in transfer talks to sign the Brazilian and that they are looking to take the player on a season long loan spell.
The Turkish media outlet also say Galatasaray are monitoring the situation with Juventus’ Weston McKennie and are taking steps to sign the American.
Casemiro has come in for criticism after his performance against Liverpool at the weekend, which saw him substituted at half time. With the arrival of Manuel Ugarte from PSG on transfer deadline day, the 32-year-old could now see his chances limited this season.
The former Real Madrid player made 32 appearances for the Red Devils during the last campaign and is contracted until June 2026.
