Former Manchester United star Carlos Tevez has hailed Alejandro Garnacho, insisting he’s at one of the ‘top three clubs in the world’.
The former striker has been speaking to TyC Sports about the Argentine players currently playing in England and the Premier League, a division he knows well.
He made 202 appearances in England during spells with West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City between 2007 and 2013.
99 of those came for Manchester United, for whom he scored 34 goals and registered 14 assists during a two-year loan spell between 2007 and 2009.
It means he knows all about playing in England and the pressures of turning out for United, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
That’s a path Garnacho is currently looking to navigate, having established himself as a regular in Erik ten Hag’s squad this season, making 31 appearances in all competitions to date despite being just 18 years old.
Much is expected of the youngster moving forwards, with a bright future anticipated, and Tevez believes he has more than enough to handle the pressure.
“Garnacho is good. To play for Manchester United you have to be good,” he said.
“He’s playing for one of the top three clubs in the world, which are Real Madrid, Manchester City and United.
“It is not easy for Argentines to insert yourself into that culture (British). To play there you have to be a crack.”
