Carlo Ancelotti is ‘willing to allocate a large sum’ to bring Jeremie Boga to Everton this summer.

That’s according to Quotidiano, who report that the Blues have ‘noticed the great growth’ of the forward at Sassuolo this season.

Boga has been in fine form for the Serie A side this season, scoring eight goals and registering four assists in 25 games so far.

That form has seemingly earned him attention inside and outside of Italy, with several clubs thought to have taken notice of him.

Everton were named as one of them in January, with Arena Napoli stating that Everton were interested in the 23-year-old.

This was followed by reports elsewhere, although they indicated that while the Blues were interested, he was not at the top of their priorities moving forward.

That may have changed, though, with Quotidiano claiming that Ancelotti is ready to spend big to bring him to Goodison Park, which would suggest Boga has now moved further up their list.

They’ve covered the player’s future, with Roma pushing hard to sign him after manager Paulo Fonseca decided to ‘bet on him’ next season.

Signing the player isn’t going to be easy, according to them, because there is plenty of interest, namely from Everton.

Any clubs looking to sign Boga, however, will have to wait and see what Chelsea’s plans are. They sold the player to Sassuolo for £2.7m two years ago but have an option to repurchase him for €15m.

He’s not part of the Blues plans but, there is a feeling Chelsea could re-sign him in order to sell him on at a higher price to secure themselves a ‘big capital gain’.

Thus, any clubs keen on Boga need to wait to see if that is the case and whether they will have to deal with Sassuolo or Chelsea in their attempts to sign him.
