Cardiff City appear to have missed out on the signing of Badou N’Diaye as he edges closer to a move to Pendikspor.

That’s according to Sports Digitale, who cover the player and how Pendikspor have sent a plane ticket to Istanbul to collect the midfielder.

A report earlier this month had indicated that Cardiff had added N’Diaye to their list of options as they looked to bolster before the end of the month.

That was the last heard of the potential move, but Sports Digitale now report they appear to have missed out on his signature.

According to them Cardiff, Samsunspor and Pendikspor were interested in the 33-year-old, but it is the latter who appear to be moving definitively.

They have sent a plane ticket to Istanbul for the Senegalese player, with a one-and-a-half-year deal sat on the table waiting to be signed.

There’s no indication of the type of deal being done at this moment in time, just that N’Diaye appears to be staying in Turkey and not making a return to the United Kingdom, where he previously had a spell with Stoke, unless there is a last-minute intervention from Cardiff.
