Paco Gallardo is expected to move to Leeds United, according to a report from Spain on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old started his coaching career with Sevilla C, before working as an advisor and coach for their senior team.
He was appointed as the manager of Sevilla Atlético [the Spanish club’s reserve team] in July 2019 and left that role last October.
Gallardo has been without a job for a year, but this is set to end ahead of his switch to Leeds.
According to Mucho Deporte, the coach has ‘found a place’ at Leeds United, and they also detail how he managed to land a job in England.
The report states it was ‘very easy’ for him to move to Elland Road, following ‘a call from Victor Orta’, the Whites’ sporting director, who has been vital to the Premier League side over the years.
It’s claimed Gallardo will be given a crucial role at Leeds, where he is set to work between their first team, U21 side and the youth team.
Gallardo’s role will see him work on the individual development of young players, to give them a final push to make it to the highest level.
