A few days ago, Nottingham Forest were linked with a move for Lazio winger Mattia Zaccagni.

Il Messaggero reported the Italian’s exit from the Rome club could become a possibility if Lazio failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Marco Baroni’s have now missed out on European football altogether and there is subsequent hope for Nottingham Forest. InterNews1908 report the Tricky Trees are eyeing a double move from Lazio.

There is belief that a call from Nottingham Forest can change Zaccagni’s mind in the summer and they see the wide player as someone who can bolster their attack.

The Italy international impressed for Lazio in the 2024/25 season, scoring eight times and racking up six assists. He has become one of their main attacking threats in the last two campaigns.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are also keen on centre-back defender Mario Gila, who is liked by Bournemouth and Inter Milan.

The outlet believe the Biancocelesti’s objective in the summer would be to unleash an auction for their best players, now that they will not play in Europe at all next season.
