It seems Vincent Kompany’s departure from Burnley will get confirmed very soon.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri shares on Twitter some exclusive news claiming that the coach is travelling to Munich today.

Kompany is then expected to complete his move to Bayern Munich, and the clubs are about to make the official announcement about that.

For now, there are no details on how much the Bundesliga side are spending to take him from the Clarets, as his contract with the English club was supposed to run until 2028.

Kompany, who played for Manchester City between 2008 and 2019, started his career as a manager when becoming a player-coach at Anderlecht in the 2019/20 season. He then became a full-time boss at the Belgian club, where he stayed until 2022.

Burnley then brought him to England, where he managed to get the team promoted to the Premier League in his first year, but couldn’t escape relegation this season. Bayern Munich still got interested in his positive aspects, though, and with a tough market to find a new manager, the Bundesliga side decided to bet on him.
