Burnley and Nottingham Forest ‘have inquired’ about Ajax youngster Carlos Forbs and are ‘seriously considering’ a move for him.
That’s according to Algemeen Dagblad, who say Ajax are willing to talk about a temporary deal for the 19-year-old.
Reports yesterday in England indicated that Nottingham Forest were keen on the winger as they look to freshen up Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad this month.
AD back that up and explain that several Premier League clubs are showing an interest in the former Manchester City youngster, who only joined Ajax in a €14m deal in August.
They explain that Nottingham Forest and Burnley are two of the clubs to ‘have enquired’ with Ajax, who are not completely against accepting a loan deal for the player.
They’d be happy to send him back to England temporarily and Burnley and Nottingham Forest are now ‘seriously considering’ that option.
According to their information there were no ‘far-reaching negotiations’ for the player as of Tuesday evening but there is every possibility that could change in the final days of the window as clubs look to move.
At the moment it is Burnley and Nottingham Forest at the front of the queue, having already inquired at Ajax and found the Dutch side willing to do a deal.
