Burnley can sign defender Jordan Beyer from Borussia Monchengladbach for €15m this summer, if they are promoted to the Premier League as expected.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who provide an exact amount for the Clarets today amid claims of a €10m+ option for Vincent Kompany’s side.

Beyer has been on loan at Turf Moor since the summer and impressed, establishing himself at the heart of their defence with a series of impressive performances.

He’s very much a fan favourite, with Burnley fans even nicknaming him ‘BeckenBeyer’ in reference to German legend Franz Beckenbauer.

They would love to sign him on a permanent basis and several reports in the last few months have made it clear that they have an option in the current loan deal to do just that.

Indeed a report earlier this month stated that the clause is set at €10m+ but Sky now provide a firm figure. According to their information, Burnley can sign the centre back for €15m at the end of the season.

“If Burnley gets promoted to the Premier League, it could really well be that they take the option to buy it,” added journalist Florian Plettenburg.

“Or they (Gladbach) say we’re bringing Jordan Beyer back because we think he’s capable of becoming a national team player.”
