Burnley and Crystal Palace have shown an interest in TP Mazembe youngster Faveurdi Bongeli ahead of the summer.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that the DR Congo youngster is expected to make waves in the summer transfer window.

They explain that the 18-year-old midfielder is having a good season with Tout-Puissant Mazembe and that’s led to several clubs being interested in him.

Several clubs in England and Germany have already taken note of him and Burnley and Crystal Palace are among them. Dunkirk in France and Sint-Truiden had previously been credited with an interest in him.

However, Burnley and Crystal Palace have now ‘entered the fray’ for the midfielder and are competing with Borussia Mönchengladbach. Talks are believed to have intensified in recent days over signing the youngster.

Whether Burnley or Crystal Palace are out in front at present, isn’t mentioned, just that they’re in the mix for the youngster and there’s a small battle developing for his signature.

Now, we’ll take this with a pinch of salt as Africa Foot have spent the last few months linking various youngsters to Premier League sides without anything more happening after that.
