Bayern Munich star Mats Hummels has been speaking to the French media ahead of their quarterfinal match against Italy at the Euros.
The former Borussia Dortmund skipper is known for his imposing character in the dressing room, and was asked if he ever had conflict with his former manager Jurgen Klopp or current Germany boss Joachim Low.
“You can always have a discussion with your manager and raise your voice. A little less with Low, but Klopp, it was very intense, there was so much emotion.
“We had arguments, yes, but an hour later, we spoke again, we understood each other. It was a great relationship. I’m not someone so hard to live with, I think. I’m just someone who expresses his emotions,” Hummels told L’Equipe.
The Liverpool manager is known for his close relationship with his players, with many players in the past describing him as a father figure.
Klopp signed Hummels at Borussia Dortmund, and it was under him that the German international reached his peak, so it’s not surprising to see the player suggesting he too had a close relationship with Klopp.
