Manchester United are only expected to make an attempt to sign Jadon Sancho in case they qualify for the Champions League, according to a claim from the German media today.
Bild reporter Christian Falk claims that Borussia Dortmund are expecting an offer of €120m for their star, but that would only happen in case the Red Devils get a spot in the European competition.
Jadon Sancho, who has 20 goals and 20 assists for the German side this season, has been reported as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top summer target for a while now.
Manchester United are currently fifth in the Premier League table. The club had the chance to jump to the third place in the match against Southampton on Monday, but failed to get a win.
The race for a Champions League spot now features Leicester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Foxes and the Red Devils face each other on the final day.
Manchester United also have a chance for a spot in Europe’s top competition in case they win the Europa League. The Old Trafford side are currently in the round-of-16. Following a 5-0 win in the first game against LASK, they’re playing the second leg on the 5th of August.
