This week, reports from the Uruguayan media strongly claimed that Brighton & Hove Albion are trying to signing of Liverpool midfielder Fabricio Diaz.
The player himself confirmed that the Seagulls have been chasing him, and then it was said that a €8.5m deal would be done in the ‘next few hours’.
Nothing happened so far, and as Diaz’s agent Pablo Boselli now spoke to Sport 890, he gave more details of Brighton’s pursuit.
“Brighton’s interest is real but nothing concrete came for Fabricio Diaz, we hope it will happen and he can leave as well as Anderson Duarte.”
During the interview, Boselli also claimed that Brighton are not the only club interested in Diaz, as there are several clubs watching him.
Regarding the reports that the player was about to fly to England, the representative made it clear those aren’t true, as there’s nothing concrete yet. That information is brought by Sport 890 journalist Rodri Vazquez.
So despite being more than clear that Brighton are attempting the signing, there’s absolutely no guarantee that the transfer is about to get concluded.
