Brighton & Hove Albion could see youngster Yussif Owusu leave on winter deadline day, according to a report from Denmark.
The Premier League club signed the 18-year-old for their academy from Chelsea in 2022. He initially started with Brighton U18s and then promoted to their U21 side last summer.
Owusu made seven appearances for Brighton U21s this season of which five were in the Premier League 2 this season.
Tipsbladet journalist Farzam Abolhosseini took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report about the midfielder’s potential move to Denmark.
According to Abolhosseini, the teenager is visiting second division Danish side Hobro IK and they are ‘considering signing’ him. That’s about the only transfer related information he has shared about the young midfielder.
The transfer window in both England and Denmark will close later today, meaning Hobro have a few hours left to complete this operation.
There’s no indication or mention of the transfer formula [loan or permanent transfer] or if Fabian Hürzeler’s side have sanctioned his trip to Denmark, which presumably they have.
This should all be clarified in the next few hours if Hobro decide to sign Owusu.
