At this point, many Brighton & Hove Albion fans will be going to Thursday’s game hoping for their club to make the aggregate scoreline against AS Roma a bit more respectable.
The Serie A side surprised everyone last week by beating Roberto De Zerbi’s men 4-0 in Rome, leaving the Seagulls with little chance of qualifying for the next round.
Whether they do remains to be seen, but one thing appears clear: AS Roma will have Paulo Dybala in the team, as reported by Calciomercato.
There was a worry after this weekend’s game against Fiorentina that the Argentine could miss the upcoming fixture against Brighton, but those fears have now been allayed.
He came off with a ‘slight adductor muscle strain’, but Daniele De Rossi clarified the situation soon after and explained he only made the substitution as a precautionary measure.
The forward is ‘doing very well’, and ‘will be ready’ to face Brighton on Thursday but there is a chance he could start on the bench, especially since there isn’t a direct need to tire all the stars out, having won the first leg 4-0.
Of course, there is always a chance the Seagulls turn things around, but that would be quite the remontada, and is something Daniele De Rossi will ensure with all his might does not happen.
