Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in RCD Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García.
That’s according to Grada 3, relaying information from journalist Ángel García, who say the Premier League duo are two of several sides showing interest in the 23-year-old.
He reports that Brighton and Tottenham have shown interest in García, who stepped up to the Espanyol first team in 2021 and has been there ever since.
García made 14 appearances for the club in La Liga 2 this season, conceding seven goals and keeping eight clean sheets, as well as keeping two clean sheets in three promotion play-off games so far.
That has seemingly attracted attention from inside Spain and outside too, with it explained that several sides in the Premier League have shown interest, with Brighton and Tottenham named specifically.
They face potential competition from Real Madrid and Valencia in Spain, although the former’s interest is dependent on Andriy Lunin departing first.
There’s no mention of any talks as yet, or moves by the interested parties to sign García, just that they are watching the 23-year-old, with his performances this season having sparked that interest.
