Napoli have reached a deal with Brighton & Hove Albion for the transfer of Leo Ostigard, according to reports from Italy.

Calcio Mercato writes the deal ‘is ready to go through in the next few days’, as the clubs found an agreement to make the move for €4m.

The outlet highlight the ‘low figure’ paid by Napoli to Brighton for the transfer, pointing out this is a ‘real bargain’ for the Serie A side.

Ostigard is set to sign a four or five-year contract, earning around €800k per season at his new club.

Signed by Brighton on a €110k deal from Molde in 2018, Ostigard has been involved in several loans in the past few years, having spells at St. Pauli, Coventry City and Stoke City, where he spent the first part of the current season. In January, he went to Genoa and impressed there.

His contract with the Seagulls expires in 2023, and that’s the main reason why Napoli managed to get such a good deal.
