Brighton and Hove Albion defender Valentín Barco’s girlfriend has shared her anger over a robbery suffered by the couple at their home in Seville.
COPE cover comments from influencer Yazz Jaureguy today in which she blames an unnamed staff member working at the house for the incident.
COPE explain that Barco, who is on loan at Sevilla from Brighton this season, saw his house in Seville ‘robbed’ at some point in the recent past.
This was revealed by his partner, Jaureguy, who shared the details on social media alongside images of the ransacked house. She failed to explain when the incident happened, or the value of items stolen and damage.
“Coming to your house and finding it looked like that. Coming to a country full of illusions and you can’t be calm… Everything is too strange, don’t even trust its shadow,” she posted on Instagram, including videos taken by security cameras of the incident taking place.
“Two men entered the house; they spent 50 minutes inside the house and left 10 minutes before we arrived… The strange thing is that only one employee knew our movements during those hours, which could be the only entry, and he left 7 minutes before we entered.
“We have already filed a complaint, and we hope it doesn’t come to nothing.”
Whether the complaint now comes to anything remains to be seen, with the incident surely being investigated by police and Sevilla.
It adds to what has been a miserable time so far in Spain for the Brighton defender, who has failed to establish himself with the La Liga club as planned and could see his loan deal ended in January as a result.
