Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has tested positive to Coronavirus, according to reports from Argentina.
TyC writes that the player had felt the symptoms and took the test two days ago, getting the result today.
Now he’s set to enter quarantine and stay isolated for at least one more week, then get tested again and see if he’s given the green light.
The outlet points out that he’s not the first Mac Allister to get the virus. His brother Kevin, who plays for Argentinos Juniors, had tested positive as well.
Good thing for Mac Allister is that he wasn’t in Argentina’s squad for the upcoming games against Paraguay and Peru, so he can rest calmly.
The Brighton midfielder had been called up by manager Lionel Scaloni for the previous fixtures, but due to his lack of playing time with his Seagulls, he was left out this time.
Mac Allister recently spoke to the Argentine media and claimed he ‘suffers’ for not getting many minutes at the Premier League side.
