Deniz Undav finished his debut season at Brighton & Hove Albion with eight goals and an assist from 30 games, out of which five of them were in the league and were scored in April and May.
The forward was largely restricted to a substitute role, making only six league starts for the Seagulls last season.
Speaking to Kicker, relayed by Fussball Transfers, the Brighton player has admitted he will not close the door on making a switch to the Bundesliga in the summer window.
“If, for example, a Bundesliga club asks, where I have the prospect of even more playing time, one could consider that. I’m open to that,” he said.
The German hasn’t featured in the Bundesliga as he’d previously represented lower division clubs in his home country, before moving to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in 2020.
The 26-year-old’s fine displays for the Belgian club convinced the Premier League side to invest in him a year ago.
Despite revealing that he’s open to joining a Bundesliga club, the attacker has admitted his focus is with Roberto De Zerbi’s side. Undav is keen to turn things around at The Amex in order to fulfil his ambition.
“My goals are very clear, to assert myself at Brighton and thereby become a national player,” Undav explained.
