At the weekend, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Brighton & Hove Albion have made contact to sign Udinese’s Lazar Samardžić. It was also stated the Serie A side would only sell him for an indispensable offer in the winter market.
The midfielder has managed three goals and two assists from 19 games this season and has received attention from clubs in Italy and abroad.
That’s according to Si Gonfia La Rete, who state Brighton, Napoli, Juventus and AC Milan are all chasing him. The Serbia international has become one of the ‘hottest names’ of the winter market.
Samardžić has a great desire to showcase his qualities and above all, make a difference at Udinese. On the other hand, it needs to be seen whether his time at the Italian club will come to an end, either this month or next summer.
Juve are the only club to have shown concrete interest in him so far, but they can’t secure his services due to financial constraints. Brighton, meanwhile, have asked for information about Samardžić.
It’s claimed the track leading to The Amex isn’t concrete right now, even though joining them would be a ‘perfect solution’ for the player.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side may be waiting for the summer market.
