Brighton & Hove Albion are in the process of appointing a new manager after Roberto De Zerbi left The Amex at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Multiple names have already been linked and another has now been added to the Seagulls’ list.
That’s according to Bild, who say Brighton are looking at the possibility of hiring Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller.
The 43-year-old started his coaching career with lower division German clubs and moved to Luxembourg, before returning to Germany to become Julian Nagelsmann’s assistant at RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich.
Eintracht Frankfurt appointed him as Oliver Glasner’s successor last summer and he helped them finish sixth in the table this season. Bild say the ‘mood around Toppmöller is negative’, but the Bundesliga side aren’t planning to sack him.
His situation at the German club hasn’t put off Brighton, and he’s under consideration.
It’s claimed both the Seagulls and AC Milan have asked about the German in the past few days, and he has blocked requests from the two clubs ‘straight away’.
Toppmöller’s desire seems to continue at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has a deal until 2026.
