Brighton & Hove Albion are in contention to sign FC Nordsjælland’s Conrad Harder on deadline day.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Danish club’s youth system and made his way into their first team in 2023. Since then, he managed nine goals and three assists from 40 games, of which two goals and two assists are from six games this season.
Last Tuesday, the forward signed a new contract until 2028. Despite this, he could be sold to Brighton or another club later today.
That’s according to Tipsbladet, who state Brighton and Sporting are keen on securing his services.
Earlier this week, claims from Portugal had stated the Lions sporting director, Hugo Viana, was in Denmark to hold talks for Harder. Tipsbladet relay it and then report that Sporting have to battle it out with the Seagulls.
Nordsjælland have received ‘huge offers’ for the Denmark U19 international from Fabian Hürzeler’s side and Sporting.
Brighton have tabled a €20m offer, while the Portuguese club have made a ‘gigantic bid’, without mentioning the figures. The two proposals seem to be convincing enough so that Nordsjælland ‘can agree to sell’.
The Seagulls are ‘in war’ with Sporting, and we’ll find out in the next few hours where the Dane will play after this window.
