Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs chasing 1. FC Nürnberg’s Stefanos Tzimas.

On January 18th, Bild reported Unai Emery’s side and Spurs are keen on signing the 19-year-old.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg backs up both Aston Villa and Tottenham desire to sign the striker and also mentions Brighton.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state Aston Villa and Tottenham are ‘engaged in concrete talks’ for Tzimas. Despite this, the Premier League duo are behind Brighton, who are currently ‘in pole position’.

Plettenberg says the Greece U21 international is inclined towards making a switch to The Amex after holding ‘very good’ talks with Fabian Hürzeler. He makes it clear that the three clubs held discussions over a move in the summer and not for the winter market.

Last summer, the player joined the second division German club on loan from Greek side PAOK. Nürnberg have an option to make his stay permanent for €18m and the journalist claims their aim is to sell Tzimas for €25m excluding bonuses.

Tzimas scored 10 goals and registered two assisted from 16 league games this season.
