Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are ‘still keen’ on striker Stefanos Tzimas, with FC Nuremberg eyeing up a summer deal for him.

That’s according to BILD, who report that Aston Villa and Tottenham have a 30% chance of signing the youngster in the summer.

The newspaper explains that Nuremberg are planning a double transfer with the 19-year-old at the end of the season.

He is currently on loan from PAOK Thessaloniki, but they have an €18m option to make the deal permanent. Nuremberg will do that as he’s managed eight goals and two assists in 14 games in the 2. Bundesliga this season.

They know there is increasing interest in the youngster from Europe. In fact, BILD say as many as 18 in Europe are keeping an eye on the player. Aston Villa and Tottenham are among those in the mix.

The growing idea is to activate the clause and then sell for a profit. That’s seen as ‘the smart solution’ for the club.

BILD report that Aston Villa and Tottenham have both been following Tzimas and are ‘still keen’ on signing him. They hand both sides a 30% chance of signing the youngster.

That puts them behind the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle, but head of Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester United. Naturally, things can change before the summer, but the Premier league pair are very much in the mix either way.
