Earlier this week, the Spanish press stated Brighton & Hove Albion’s Igor Julio has agreed personal terms with Real Sociedad.

Two days ago, El Diario Vasco reported the Seagulls intend to sell the defender this week.

On Thursday, the Brazilian was on the front page of Mundo Deportivo as La Real prepare to make an offer. The Spanish club intend to offer less than the €15m Brighton invested to buy him from Fiorentina in 2023.

UOL in Brazil now reports the Serie A club have joined Real Sociedad in the battle for the 27-year-old.

It’s claimed Fiorentina are trying to negotiate a deal but are facing difficulties to move ahead with this operation. Their efforts to hijack the La Liga side’s operation aren’t working out so far.

That’s because Real Sociedad are in advanced talks with Fabian Hürzeler’s side to agree terms. The report further adds they are ‘getting closer to an agreement’ with Brighton for Igor Julio’s sale.

There’s no mention of any figures, while UOL state the conditions offered by Real Sociedad have pleased the player.
