Brentford have seen an €18m bid for Toulouse striker Thijs Dallinga rejected, with Bournemouth also in the mix for him.
That’s according to Het Dagblad van het Noorden, relayed by Voetbal Primeur, who say both sides are interested in the 23-year-old on deadline day.
They explain that Dallinga has appeared on the radar of a number of clubs in Europe in this window, with Bournemouth, Brentford, Freiburg and Bologna all named specifically.
Of those four, Brentford are the first club to have made an official bid this winter, proposing an €18m deal that was firmly rejected by Toulouse chairman Damien Comolli. He expects to get a lot more for the player, with a €35m asking price in his head.
The rest, including Bournemouth, are simply eyeing the attacker but they would like an addition up front before the window closes this evening.
They’re now closing in on a deal for Enes Unal, with Kieffer Moore seemingly heading to the Championship, but Dallinga is another name on their list.
Brentford are at the front of the queue for the time being after an initial bid, although it remains to be seen if they raise their offer to a price the French side will accept.
