Fiorentina loanee Michael Kayode started for Brentford in their 4-2 win over Brighton on Saturday.

The winter arrival played 66 minutes and his performance sparked praise from Bees’ manager Thomas Frank, who liked what he saw from the Italian’s first Premier League start.

FiorentinaNews have looked at Kayode and his situation. Beyond his performance against Brighton, they state that the youngster made a ‘good impression’ against Arsenal some days ago when he had come off the bench.

Despite that, the outlet believe that the defender’s future at Brentford is far from certain and is ‘still to be understood’.

The London club have the option to buy Kayode permanently in the summer but it seems as if no decision has been made.

Even though the 20-year-old has made only seven Premier League appearances for Brentford, his game time is rising and it should continue to increase unti the end of the season.

Kayode’s progress was undone due to an injury he picked up some weeks ago, but everything depends on how the player performs in the remaining five games.
