As Paris Saint Germain striker Hugo Ekitike continues to live his transfer saga, Brentford suddenly show up as a potential destination for him.
The claims are made by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who features an update on the player’s situation.
He says that Brentford, as well as Wolfsburg, have made an offer to land the PSG striker this month.
Those clubs reportedly submitted bids for a loan with an option to buy.
For now, there’s no information on whether PSG have advanced talks with either Brentford or Wolfsburg, and the amounts for the buying options aren’t revealed either.
Hawkins’ report claims that Eintracht Frankfurt are also pushing for his signing, and that’s something that the Bees should probably be worried about.
That’s because L’Equipe today featured a story claiming the Bundesliga side are in very advanced efforts to land the player, as he’s prepared to accept a pay cut to join them on a loan.
So there’s a chance Brentford are a little late to the party, although PSG are still clearly looking at all offers on the table.
