At the end of the last year, Brentford were said to be ‘very interested’ in the signing Bryan Zaragoza from Granada.
The Bees couldn’t put up a fight against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, though, with the German club finding an agreement to sign him for €13m in January.
It turns out that as journalist Florian Plettenberg now shares a fresh story on Zaragoza’s future, iBrentford could have a fresh chance to get him.
Bayern Munich haven’t used the player, as following the agreement with Granada, they loaned him back to the Spanish side until the end of the season.
Now, according to Plettenberg, a new loan in the summer is ‘no longer ruled out’. That shall depend on the new coach who takes charge of the Bundesliga side.
The journalist doesn’t mention many potential suitors, only claiming that Rayo Vallecano are a club who are interested in Zaragoza.
With not much competition, it seems Brentford may find a favourable scenario to land the 22-year-old on a loan deal, as long as they’re still interested in his signing.
