Brentford are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Red Bull Salzburg star Oscar Gloukh in the summer window, according to a report this week.

The Israel international has starred for Red Bull Salzburg since joining them from Maccabi Tel Aviv in January 2023. This season, he has been directly involved in 25 goals [nine goals and 16 assists] from 39 games in all competitions.

His impressive performances have caught the attention of Brentford if Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger is to be believed.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to first dismiss suggestions that the 20-year-old is a key target for Borussia Dortmund.

According to Berger, the attacking midfielder isn’t a serious topic for BVB. He further adds that Gloukh is on the list of Brentford, Atletico Madrid and an unnamed Bundesliga sides.

The playmaker has a deal until 2027 and Transfermarkt currently value him at €20m. The journalist states Gloukh ‘would like’ to take the next step in his career in the next window.

Brentford, Los Rojiblancos and German clubs have Gloukh on their target list and it needs to be seen whether one or more teams will open their doors for him.
