This month, a few reports in the Brazilian media linked Raphael Veiga to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Some sounded sure the Palmeiras midfielder will be joining Wolves, with others saying there are only approaches for now, but it seems likely that something is going on for that transfer.
But it turns out that when speaking to TNT Sports today, the player actually revealed his wish to play for Manchester City.
That happened in a chat he had with them while at the national team camp. There he was asked about an European club he’d like to play for, and went for Manchester City.
Recent reports from Brazil claimed that besides Wolves, Veiga was also approached by the likes of Arsenal and Fulham, but there were never any links with Manchester City.
Now what must be said is that the player clearly knows about the claims of a move to Wolverhampton, and he obviously wouldn’t just say he wants a move there, or that would make far too much noise in the Brazilian media after what has recently been said.
