In recent days, there was the start of a rumour in Brazil regarding Vasco da Gama’s interest in Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.

That’s the reason why the Cruzmaltino fans started asking journalist Jorge Nicola about that story, and on Youtube, the reporter now brings more information about that.

Nicola claims he got in touch with people from Bertolucci Sports, the agency who represents the Bournemouth player, and was told the negotiation is ‘extremely hard, not to say impossible’.

The reason is because Neto has barely arrived at the Cherries, having moved from Barcelona last summer, and his salary in England is ‘incompatible’ with what is normally paid in Brazil.

It’s said the goalkeeper makes around £350k per month at Bournemouth, and that makes the transfer impossible until the end of his contract, which expires in June 2023.

Only in case Neto accepts a pay cut at the end of the season, then Vasco will be able to dream of his signing.

Since joining Bournemouth in the summer, Neto made nine appearances for the club, having conceded ten goals and keeping two clean sheets.
