AFC Bournemouth and Como want to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Viktor Johansson in the summer window.

That’s according to Sportbladet, who cover Bournemouth and Como interest in a player that Stoke City would like to retain.

Last summer, the Sweden international joined Stoke City from Rotherham United and has been the first-choice stopper for the Potters.

Johansson has kept 12 clean sheets and conceded 53 goals from 40 matches this season. His contract lasts until 2027, but the report states the 26-year-old could leave Stoke City in the next window.

Bournemouth and Como have identified him as a target. The report states both clubs are keen on securing his services in the summer and have informed Stoke City.

The Italian club’s interest isn’t new as they made an offer in the winter market, which was not entertained by the Championship side. They are 20th in the table, a point above 22nd placed Derby County.

Stoke City would prefer not to sell Johansson, but that may not prevent Bournemouth, Como or any other club from making an attempt for him.

Andoni Iraola currently has Kepa Arrizabalaga [on loan from Chelsea] as first-choice stopper for Bournemouth. The Spainiard is set to return to his parent club and the Cherries will have to find a replacement for him.
