Bournemouth are showing an interest in FC Lugano’s Albian Hajdari, providing competition to Bayer Leverkusen for the 21-year-old centre-back.

That’s according to journalist Dominik Schneider, who reports that Bournemouth are seen as ‘tough competition’ by the German side.

Schneider reports that Leverkusen face competition from Marseille and Bournemouth for the 21-year-old defender as they seek to do a deal for him this summer.

That’s all he offers in terms of information on the centre-back, with it unclear what the interested parties are looking to pay for the former Juventus youngster.

He joined Lugano in a €724,000 deal in April 2023 and has been a regular for the Swiss side since, with 103 appearances in all competitions to date.

He’s seemingly impressed enough to earn attention and now Bournemouth, Leverkusen and Marseille are seemingly eyeing up a deal.

Bournemouth, of course, may need to find a central defender this summer to replace Dean Huijsen, who is being extensively linked with a move away this summer after his performances this summer.

He’s also a former Juventus youth player and has proven to be a big hit on the south coast and perhaps they’re eyeing up another one as his replacement should he end up leaving in the coming months.
