A couple of days ago we covered claims from Portugal which stated Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have both made offers to FC Porto for Evanilson.

The offers were worth around €30-35m, but were structured differently. Bournemouth’s was said to be €30m as a fixed fee and then a potential further €5m in bonus payments.

The offer from the Cherries was also backed up in Brazil, but neither of the bids were high enough for Porto.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo now reports Evanilson is ‘about to become a Bournemouth player’ in a deal that is worth a whopping €37m plus a further €10m in potential bonuses.

According to O Jogo’s report, €5m of the bonuses should be easy to achieve, so they may be related to a reasonable amount of appearances or Bournemouth remaining in the Premier League.

Porto have also secured 10% of the profit from a future transfer, and it’s stated they have an agreement not to pay any commissions on this deal. Whether that means Bournemouth are paying them all isn’t made clear.
