AFC Bournemouth are in the picture to sign Toulouse FC’s Jaydee Canvot in the summer window.

That’s according to Le Parisien, and their title says the 18-year-old is a ‘promising young player’.

He left AS Bondy to join the Ligue 1 club academy in 2021 and was promoted to their first team earlier this season. He’s made 19 appearances, operating as a defensive midfielder or a centre-back.

Bournemouth have been closely monitoring the versatile player’s performances and rise and have also made an approach. The report doesn’t specify if the Cherries contacted Toulouse, his camp or both.

Andoni Iraola’s haven’t made an offer for the France U19 international and have only made contact so far.

The Premier League club have to be wary of competition from VfL Wolfsburg. Canvot has so far managed to attract interest from these two clubs, according to the report.

Le Parisien aren’t aware of the French club’s stance of letting the young talent leave in the upcoming window.

Canvot’s contract is until 2028 and is valued at €2.5m by Transfermarkt. With at least two clubs showing interest in him, Toulouse could demand a fee much higher than his current valuation.
