Ionuț Radu was hoping to feature regularly at AFC Bournemouth when he joined them on loan with an option to buy from Inter Milan last summer.

Andoni Iraola has handed the goalkeeper only five appearances and hasn’t given him an opportunity since November.

The Romania international reportedly had offers to leave the Premier League side in the winter market but couldn’t secure an exit.

FcInterNews state Bournemouth can buy him for €8m, but they have already decided against using the purchase option. It’s not a surprise considering the 26-year-old isn’t having a big impact at the Vitality Stadium.

According to the report, the Cherries manager hasn’t given the stopper opportunities because he doesn’t trust him very much, which is why Radu has further dropped down the pecking order, behind Neto and Mark Travers.

Taking this into account, FcInterNews claim it would be ‘absurd’ if Bournemouth spend €8m on a third-choice goalkeeper.

As it stands, the Romanian will have to return to the San Siro, where his deal lasts until 2025. He also has no future at Inter and therefore should be changing clubs again in the summer, likely on a permanent transfer.
