West Ham United’s chances of finally signing striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla have been handed a boost as the player is now ‘more receptive’ to the idea of a move to the London Stadium.
That’s according to Diario de Sevilla, who say Sevilla director of football Victor Orta has already started contacts about a potential replacement.
The newspaper explains that Sevilla ‘are waiting’ for West Ham’s renewed interest in the Moroccan star, which they have been made aware of, to turn into a formal offer for the player.
They’ve given the ‘green light’ for negotiations to take place and those in charge at the club are waiting for developments.
The positive news for West Ham is that if or when they do push for a third time, having seen two previous efforts rejected by the striker, they will find him more receptive than before.
Diario report that sources at the club are reporting that En-Nesyri is now keener to play in the Premier League than he once was and that is a ‘decisive factor’ in his thinking.
It means he is willing to listen to the offer from West Ham should it arrive and Orta certainly believes it will, so much so that he’s already made contact with a possible replacement to ensure that is tied up and they’re not left scrambling at the end of the transfer window.
