On August 13th, Wolverhampton Wanderers let Hugo Bueno join Feyenoord on a season-long loan deal.

Three days later, Feyenoord manager Brian Priske expressed his delight over the 21-year-old’s arrival. He made his debut in their 5-1 win over PEC Zwolle and even registered an assist.

At the weekend, the Wolves owned player missed the clash against Sparta Rotterdam. Earlier today, Dutch journalist Mikos Gouka reported the left-back has suffered a muscle injury.

This is now confirmed by the Eredivisie side on their official website. They state that the Spaniard sustained an unfortunate injury prior to the match against their local rivals.

Feyenoord have also revealed that the fullback will be out of action for “several weeks” and this is clearly a blow for both the player and the club.

The Wolves man has been asked to follow individual training, as he works on regaining full fitness.

Gary O’Neil’s decision to favour Rayan Aït-Nouri at Wolves had convinced Bueno to go out on loan. He had a good start in the Netherlands, but the injury setback will force him to spend several weeks on the sidelines.

A blow for the youngster.
